field trip :: pimlico road market

6 Aug

It’s been a mix of sun, cloud and a bit of rain lately, or as some would say, a typical “British summer”. Unlike Vancouver, the weather changes quite quickly over here. We’ve noticed that rain often lasts a few minutes to a few hours where in Vancouver, it could rain for days. That being said, it makes it very hard to decide on an outfit!

We started the day with plans to check out the Battersea High Street Market, but didn’t research it prior to leaving the house and somehow ended up looking for it in Clapham Junction. So, we jumped on a bus and headed out to the Pimlico Road Farmer’s Market as we had seen stalls set up the weekend prior at Mozart Square.

This is a really nice area with gorgeous homes, art and antique shops and lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants to dine in. If you are not in a hurry, take the bus or stroll up Pimlico Road (which turns into Royal Hospital Road) and visit the National Army Museum (free).
